Happy Halloween!
There was no way I was going to let Halloween pass by without trying out some more special effects, horror makeup! This look went along with my vampire/zombie costume. Oh how I wish Halloween came around more than once a year!

Basic II Technique

This Technique here is called the Basic II.
Below I added a diagram of what the makeup application should look like when your eyes are closed. The circles that I've drawn underneath the eyebrow and all over the mobile lid, is where you want to apply your lightest color. The dark shaded area located in the crease, is where you're going to use your darkest color. The X's represent the intermediate color which will be blended outward from where the darkest color has been applied.
This is the perfect look for creating a gorgeous elongated eye, and is also a great look to wear if you are going out and want to add a bit
of drama to your eyes, without going for a full on smokey eye.

Tickle trunk!
Here are a few samples of the props and decorations I use on a lot of my makeup looks. I like using things that are sort of out of the ordinary, aka broken mirror pieces, and stuff that you can find at craft stores like glitter, feathers, beads, etc. I'm definitely going to increase my collection of makeup accessories in the near future, so be prepared for some interesting new looks!

It's gettin' smokey

These are a couple photos that were taken while I was in class. This is probably my favorite eye technique to do, which is the smokey eye. I find that it looks good on almost anybody or any eye shape. The first photo is of the "classic" smokey eye, which is done in an achromatic color scheme, aka black, grey, and white. The second photo is using monochromatic colors; which is the same color in different shades. This technique is super sexy and is perfect to wear on a night out on the town!

Let the body painting begin!!
I absolutely love doing body painting! It's definitely something new to me, but I really enjoy how much creativity you can put into it. This photo is just the beginning stage of what I've been working on. It took quite a few hours, but I think the end result will be well worth it.
